The US 2016 election's top five presidential candidates in a nutshell, with voting advice.
We deal with each candidate separately. This helps avoid mixing up the issues: The "Democratic Socialist", the "Green Socialist", the "Corporate Plutarchist", the "Libertarian Oligopolist", and the "National Vulgarist".
Update: The Democratic Socialist is now out of the race.

The Democratic Socialist
Mr Bernie Sanders
Democratic
Democratic, because democracy should be understood as a grass roots and people-power political system, and this candidate embodies this.
Socialist
Socialist, because this candidate stands for placing people before profit. His program reduces corporate and financial sector influence in politics and daily life, addresses the severe welfare gap between the middle class and the rich that grew so strongly in the past decades, and it does so with sound policies that fit in with today's modern world.
Characteristics
The Democratic Socialist appears as a wise, energetic elderly gentleman. He has a strong following in his home state where he fully resurrected a once struggling economy. In the house of representatives he has always voted in the interest of "the People".
Voting Advice
Vote for this candidate. If you are put off by the label "Socialist", don't be. Socialism is an important mainstream political movement in Europe, and despite internet definitions stating otherwise this candidate is not likely to take away your private "means of production".
Update: If you re looking for a direct alternative to the Democratic Socialist, who cannot be elected anymore, vote for a feisty and sane candidate with a revolutionary, well formulated program. That's the Green Socialist and her "Power to the People Plan".

The Democratic Socialist has received 45.6% of his party's popular vote (pledged delegates). Properly following the rules of a dysfunctional system, this has obliged him to concede to the Corporate Plutarchist. However, he has succeeded to enter a number of his platform issues into the Corporate Plutarchist's party agenda.
