The US 2016 election's top five presidential candidates in a nutshell, with voting advice. We deal with each candidate separately. This helps avoid mixing up the issues: The "Democratic Socialist", the "Green Socialist", the "Corporate Plutarchist", the "Libertarian Oligopolist", and the "National Vulgarist".
The National Vulgarist
Donald Trump (Republican)
No Real Change
Real change is prevented by the stranglehold that large corporations and the financial system have on the political system. Specifically, that's the democratic, republican and libertarian parties. Despite the strongman talk, the National Vulgarist is fully bound into that system. He does not talk about cleaning up corporate big money influence, or fixing the financial system. His economic team consists of billionaire donors, many of whom whom caused, participated in and profited from the 2008 financial system and economic crash. The National Vulgarist cannot bring real change. So he talks about immigration, terrorism, guns and taxes. On those few issues the National Vulgarist paints a very dark picture, riles you up, then puts himself as the solution to color everything up again. The problem is that the picture is by far not as dark as he describes it, and in the end you'll have to buy a horrible painting. Forget about real change, again.
National
National, because this candidate plays on nationalist emotions, specifically those of unemployed, less-employed or hard working, disenchanted voters on both sides of the isle. He paints a doomsday scenario of illegal immigration, domestic violence, and foreign terrorism far worse than actual facts, then professes to be the only one who can save the nation, immediately, the day he takes office. In 1932 Germany a similarly nationally oriented fringe candidate professing to represent dissatisfied workers followed a very similar approach, blaming cultural and religious minorities, and foreign nations, then continued on to persecute political opponents, ethnic and religious minorities to death and start a world war.
Vulgarist
Vulgarist, because this candidate doesn't just lack political correctness, but uses profane public verbal attacks on protesting citizens, political, business and personal opponents, calling people and groups pigs, penguins, murderers, rapists and terrorists - combined with fabricated information. Individuals, ethnic groups, population segments, nations and world religions are derided with vulgar denouncements, similarly used by that 1932 German fringe candidate whose subsequent "final solutions" caused cataclysmic world wide mayhem, death and world war, with consequences reverberating until this very day.
Characteristics
The National Vulgarists platform starts with how to make Mexico pay for his great wall. It is a scheme that Archie Bunker's KKK "friends" might have cooked up towards the drunken end of an evening beer session. It goes as follows (I kid you not): Mexico has a lot of poor people, a lot of them. They all get sent a lot of money from relatives who are making tons of money in the US. So many billions, you wouldn't believe it. On Day 1 we declare all money transfers from all aliens in the US to other countries illegal. Now those poor won't get any money sent to them. Get it? They'll be squirming, those poor. Haha. On Day 2 Mexico protests. On Day 3 we inform Mexico that we'll allow these money transfers only if it pays for the wall. Here Donald Trump's official, presidential plan to make Mexico pay for this wall ends. This "plan" is as harebrained, ludicrous and naive as it is despicable. If you were Mexico, would you cave in to this idiotic plan? This is what will happen: On Day 2 Mexico does not protest. It nationalizes all US owned factories, properties and accounts. In solidarity, most of South America does the same. Massive numbers of Mexicans breach the border to fetch their money in person. On Day 3, as Trump contemplates invading or using the nuclear option against Mexico, the US military decides it has seen enough. It launches a coup, and legalizes all illegal aliens as part of the official US apology and reparation to Mexico. That "plan" was it for me. I only glanced at some of the other points and briefly saw a confused tax scheme, replacing Obamacare with commercial insurance, a misquoted second amendment, putting mentally ill behind bars and then decided there was no point going through the rest of it. Please do so on your own. Whatever that platform, let's have a look at the candidate's actions and personal characteristics: The National Vulgarist appears as a comically likable, reality-show caricature of himself. He exhibits a vindictive bad temper, spouts insults and accusations on people he disagrees with, incites hatred of minorities, talks of building walls, restricting free speech, clamping down on the media, defaulting on domestic debt (leading to a global economic meltdown). He openly admires massacres of unarmed protesters as proper shows of strength, and praises dictators like Russia's Vladimir Putin, North Korea's Kim Jong Un, and Iraq's Saddam Hussain for their ability of getting things done, such as "Yes, Saddam Hussein was a bad guy, but he was good at killing terrorists" - in a campaign for US President. This is either a lunatic logical fallacy, or this candidate is planning to emulate Saddam Hussain when elected. (For the record, Saddam Hussain did not kill terrorists, he killed ordinary citizens.) He believes leading a country is like running a golf course, climate change is a Chinese hoax, says not to listen to professional advisers, jumbles up national political matters with his own business interests, hides his tax returns, depends on Russian investments for the survival of his businesses, believes Russia's invasion of Ukraine's Crimea was smart, says he was against the invasion of Iraq when he was all for it, changes his opinions on an almost daily basis, sows unrestrained fear of terrorism, to be solved by banning all Muslims from entering the country and establishing a domestic Muslim registry, will institute torture, spreads neo-nazi and white supremacist propaganda material... Lets take a breath.
... loves uneducated people while owning a fake university that separated the elderly and uneducated people from their money, engages in circular logic with wrong facts resulting in glaringly wrong conclusions, lies profusely while saying he does not lie, dismisses known and proven facts, flatly denies obvious, indisputable reversals and missteps... ... says he can shoot somebody in public and wouldn't lose any voters, explodes if dinner is not on the table when he comes home, discusses his penis size in televised campaign meetings, believes his hairspray aerosol chemicals will stay inside his building, vows to be "unpredictable", spreads vicious conspiracy theories, spreads paranoia, continuously repeating "there's something going on", is paranoid, shows signs of psychological instability, etc, all under the heading "Make America Great Again". The National Vulgarist contends that Putin will not go into the Ukraine. At the same time he admires Russia for its smartness to invade and occupy Crimea, oblivious of the fact that Crimea is part of Ukraine's sovereign territory. This is like saying the Russians will never go into the US, while they have already invaded and occupy Florida. Would you make such an stupid statement? The National Vulgarist believes that losing your life in military service for the United States is a comparable sacrifice to working in luxury, making profit for yourself. Would you make a despicable comparison like this? The National Vulgarist doesn't know why he shouldn't drop nuclear devices on a bunch of religious desert crackpots. Would you risk global mutual destruction to wipe out a bunch of crackpots? The National Vulgarist goes on national and international TV urging Russians and Chinese to hack his political opponent's emails, and the Russians actually do it: conspiring to commit a computer hacking offense under section 1030 CFAA and creating a national security threat, possibly treason. Should a (candidate) US President urge foreign nations to commit a national security crime against his own country? The National Vulgarist uses violence to deal with peaceful opposition. He likens demonstrators with terrorists. He offers to pay the legal fees of violent supporters, he suggests a demonstrator “should have been roughed up” and says “knock the crap out of them” and “I’d like to punch him in the face” among other incentives to violence. This is your fate when you happen to openly disagree with him. It is also a Nazi tactic. The National Vulgarist groundlessly questions the legitimacy of the elections, declaring that the "election is going to be rigged", while a leading adviser says the resulting unrest could end in a "bloodbath"; he simplemindedly confounds and confuses a party nomination system that unfairly favors major parties and nominees, with an undisputed, properly functioning, general election voting process. The old "everything is rigged" switcheroo trick, with bloodbath. Would you do a banana republic thing like this? The National Vulgarist says only "Second Amendment people" could stop his opponent from appointing new Supreme Court judges, following up with "that would be a horrible day". Sane presidential candidates don't make or insinuate death threats in democratic elections. The National Vulgarist accuses the US President of being the "founder" and his opponent candidate of being the "co-founder" of terror group IS. Would you make a patently insane accusation like this? [For the record, a Salafi jihadist named Abu Musab al-Zarqawi founded that group in Jordan seventeen years ago as "Jama'at al-Tawhid wal-Jihad" (JTJ), moving and renaming it to "al-Qaeda in Iraq" (AQI) in 2004 during Bush's "WMD" occupation. Three years later it morphed into ISI and in 2014 into ISIL.] The National Vulgarist raised the rent paid by his campaign offices in Trump Tower five-fold after campaign contributions started paying for them.Would a true billionaire go so low down to profiteer from campaign donations in this way? "There's something going on here... there's clearly something going on... I have to be honest with you" I saw a top secret video the other day. Absolutely top secret. It's got to be real, the camera was sooo steady. Not shaky. You know what it said? This is gonna go off the deep end. I have a bad feeling about this. Do not allow the National Vulgarist demagogue to entice, trick or confuse you with his profane reality show comic act. “Never argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.” ― Mark Twain To be continued... Voting Advice
Do not vote for this candidate, under any circumstance. Consider that you are voting for the fairly serious office of your country's president, not for a winner in a comic reality show. If voted into office, the National Vulgarist will cause domestic and global mayhem in the worst possible way. As a voter you do not want domestic repression, all out global trade war, or a military third world war on your conscience. Consider dropping all support for the party that allowed him to get this far in the first place. If you are looking for real change do not vote for this candidate, because he is fully embedded in corporate big money and a rigged financial system. Vote for a feisty and sane candidate with a fresh, revolutionary, well formulated program. That's the Green Socialist and her "Power to the People Plan". If you traditionally vote according to your religious beliefs do not vote for this candidate. This candidate's only belief is in "winning", at all cost. There is no shred of honest belief, principles or honest norms and values in this candidate, no matter what he says or promises. For this particular candidate Proverbs 12:15-23 apply. Vote for any of the other candidates. They are sane and morally principled. If you traditionally vote Republican, do not vote for this candidate because he is on a Republican ticket. He does not represent Republican values in any way. Consider reading up on the Libertarian Oligopolist who holds similar values, or the democratic Corporate Plutarchist who is a seasoned leader. Or vote with an official abstention. If you traditionally vote Democrat, do not vote for this candidate, just because you are disappointed with Obama and you don't like Hillary. You will not be able to live with yourself once this candidate takes office with insane behavior that turns the constitution, civil rights and hard-fought for civil liberties upside down. Read up on the Green Socialist and her "Power to the People Plan", as a very good alternative. Permalink: http://www.janroe.com/us-election-2016-the-national-vulgarist
